Where To Eat After You Elope

You’re married! Yay! Let’s talk about some beautiful places with delicious food to celebrate your new marriage.

West Side

If you’re staying on the west side of the island, here are some of my favorite places to recommend couples for their post-elopement dinners.

Merriman’s

Merriman’s sits on the water at Kapalua Bay, facing the beautiful island of Moloka’i. Their Prix Fixe dinner menu includes your choice of First Course, Entree, and Dessert, all for $120. If you’ve ever wanted to try Tako (octopus) L’escargot or Pineapple Macadamia Nut Bread Pudding, here is your place to do it! Their drink list offers a variety of beers and wine, as well as the Hawaiian classic “Mai Tai” and some other fun mixed drinks.

Kapalua Plantation House

The Kapalua Plantation House sits in the middle of the Kapalua golf course, providing breathtaking views of Moloka’i and Kapalua through the floor to ceiling length open windows off the balcony. Their dinner menu features specials like Shrimp Scampi, Hawaiian Short Rib, and their famous Macadamia Nut Crusted Mahi Mahi. After dinner, you can continue your celebrations with some Lilikoi Pono Pie or Pineapple Upside Down Cake!

Cane & Canoe

You can find Cane & Canoe at The Montage in the heart of Kapalua. The quiet restaurant is at one of Maui’s best resorts so you can assured that the dining experience is at the same level.

South Side

If you’re eloping on the south side of the island, these are my top 3 restaurants that I recommend for a post-elopement dinner!

The Restaurant at Hotel Wailea

Hotel Wailea is known as Maui’s only adults-only resort. This means an ultra-romantic, dimly lit, and kid-free atmosphere. The Restaurant has an incredible menu and cocktails. You’ll create your own three-course meal from a curated menu. The Restaurant takes pride in sourcing its ingredients locally whenever possible.

Monkeypod

Monkeypod Kitchen is a highly recommended restaurant on the south side of the island. They’re best known for their Mai Tai cocktail, but really all of their culinary cocktails are a hit. You can’t go wrong with their Seared Ahi Steak or their Fresh Caught Fish Tacos. Check out their full dinner and drink menu.
Monkeypod does not take reservations, so be sure to take that into account when planning your dining experience!

Spago

One of my favorite restaurants on the island is Spago. Located in the Four Seasons Resort in Wailea, the view from your table of the south side of Maui is absolutely incredible. Spago offers Hawaiian twists on Wolfgang Puck classics. Be sure not to miss the Hawaiian Ahi Poke Cones!

Kō Restaurant

Kō Restaurant has a lot of interesting twists on some classic foods we’ve seen before. If you’re looking to try something new, make sure you check out their Kobe and Kimchee, Chicken and Mushroom Lumpia, Seafood Lau Lau, or Red Chicken Curry! You don’t want to miss the Upcountry Liliko’i Cheesecake or the Coconut Gelato Malasada.
