Where To Eat After You Elope
You’re married! Yay! Let’s talk about some beautiful places with delicious food to celebrate your new marriage. Please note that any pricing here can change at any time. The restaurant will give you their most up-to-date pricing when you book a reservation.
West Side – Kapalua
If you’re staying on the west side of the island, here are some of my favorite places to recommend couples for their post-elopement dinners.
Merriman’s
Merriman’s sits on the water at Kapalua Bay, facing the beautiful island of Moloka’i. Their Prix Fixe dinner menu includes your choice of First Course, Entree, and Dessert, all for $120. If you’ve ever wanted to try Tako (octopus) L’escargot or Pineapple Macadamia Nut Bread Pudding, here is your place to do it! Their drink list offers a variety of beers and wine, as well as the Hawaiian classic “Mai Tai” and some other fun mixed drinks.
You can make a reservation at Merriman’s here.
Merriman’s has a private Cabana that’s great for groups. The food and beverage minimum for this space is $7500 + a $1000 site fee.
Kapalua Plantation House
The Kapalua Plantation House sits in the middle of the Kapalua golf course, providing breathtaking views of Moloka’i and Kapalua through the floor to ceiling length open windows off the balcony. Their dinner menu features specials like Shrimp Scampi, Hawaiian Short Rib, and their famous Macadamia Nut Crusted Mahi Mahi. After dinner, you can continue your celebrations with some Lilikoi Pono Pie or Pineapple Upside Down Cake!
You can make a reservation at the Kapalua Plantation House here.
The Plantation House has a private dining space with a food and beverage minimum of $1875. Here’s a link to their pricing guide.
Cane & Canoe
You can find Cane & Canoe at The Montage in the heart of Kapalua. The quiet restaurant is at one of Maui’s best resorts so you can assured that the dining experience is at the same level.
You can make a reservation at Cane & Canoe here. This is a great option if it’s just the two of you or a smaller group.
South Side – Wailea
If you’re eloping on the south side of the island, these are my top restaurants that I recommend for a post-elopement dinner!
Gather on Maui
This is the most popular option for groups. The food and views are absolutely incredible. The most popular dining space with our couples is the Lower Pond with a food and beverage minimum of $2000. Here’s a link to their website where you can download their pricing brochure. Here’s a blog post to get a feel for the space.
The Restaurant at Hotel Wailea
Hotel Wailea is known as Maui’s only adults-only resort. This means an ultra-romantic, dimly lit, and kid-free atmosphere. The Restaurant has an incredible menu and cocktails. You’ll create your own three-course meal from a curated menu. The Restaurant takes pride in sourcing its ingredients locally whenever possible.
Hotel Wailea has a beautiful private dining space. It’s outdoors and under string lights. Here’s a photo example. The food and beverage minimum is $4500
The Treehouse at Hotel Wailea
A favorite of ours!! The Treehouse is a private dining space that’s as private as it gets. You’ll have a custom multi-course meal. Pricing is $700 per person. Max of six guests. Here’s a link to the pricing and more details. Here’s a photo example. We love taking sunset photos here to give you a pop of green before diving into dinner.
Humble Market Kitchen
Another popular option!! This is at the Wailea Beach Resort (Marriott). The private dining spaces are indoors. They don’t have a set food and beverage minimum as it depends on the season, day of the week, and which private dining space to reserve. Here’s the brochure to get an idea of what to expect. If you like the menu options, you can email for your specific date to get a food and beverage minimum
Spago
One of my favorite restaurants on the island is Spago. Located in the Four Seasons Resort in Wailea, the view from your table of the south side of Maui is absolutely incredible. Spago offers Hawaiian twists on Wolfgang Puck classics. Be sure not to miss the Hawaiian Ahi Poke Cones!
You can make a reservation at Spago here. This is a great option if it’s just the two of you or a smaller group.
Kō Restaurant
Kō Restaurant has a lot of interesting twists on some classic foods we’ve seen before. If you’re looking to try something new, make sure you check out their Kobe and Kimchee, Chicken and Mushroom Lumpia, Seafood Lau Lau, or Red Chicken Curry! You don’t want to miss the Upcountry Liliko’i Cheesecake or the Coconut Gelato Malasada.
You can make a reservation at Kō here. This is a great option if it’s just the two of you or a smaller group.
