Maui Cliffside Elopement
It's no secret that Maui is full of beautiful beaches. What I love about Caroline and Josh is that they wanted something a bit different - they wanted to have their Maui elopement on a cliffside overlooking the ocean. We have no shortage of those on Maui, so pulling together the perfect locations was pretty easy for this elopement.

As you might already be able to tell, Caroline and Josh did things differently than most couples. I love that they did. Most couples decide to do a first look, but Caroline and Josh wanted to be together all day so they decided to help each other get dressed. They both hadn't written their vows yet. Spoiler: Most couples wait until the very last minute to write their vows. I know I did! It was really cute to see them sitting next to each other on the couch writing their vows. I loved it.
A bit more about Caroline and Josh in their own words...
Josh and I actually grew up together. We remember each other but we weren't close in childhood. During the pandemic, I came home to Kentucky from being in Nashville for a decade. Josh and I met and quickly realized we were in love. We were engaged on Christmas Eve 2020. We eloped with our close family, his grandparents are still alive and we wanted them to see us exchange vows. While our ceremony was special, it was more for our families and to their liking. We have wanted to re-elope and do it our way, with personal vows, just the two of us, in a beautiful special place. We were planning a larger event with friends back home. I have a beautiful dress being made in Paris. After we eloped with family, the larger event just didn’t seem necessary. We love the idea of renewing our vows, wearing our wedding attire, and having the perfect little ceremony in Maui.
